Last week, I started a class on Coursera. I do that sometimes although for the past two years I haven’t been able to finish any of them. It is really not important if I finish this one either because it already inspired me to do something new and I guess that’s what I’m looking for when I start these classes: inspiration.
The first assignment had me make a lot of forks (we had to pick a household item and it seems cups and forks are people’s favorites :P) in different ways and then make a meaning out of them, which led to crazy ideas like this one:
But most importantly, it led me to create different images of snails in order to find a new way of expression. Because it is winter and I have to take the bus to work, which is a very annoying and boring experience, and because it is cold outside and the windows are steamy or even frozen, I started drawing snails on them.
I want to make snails whenever and with whatever I feel inspired and see where this leads me. If you want to see it too, follow me on Instagram. 😉
