When I started to make book-objects, I did them from scratch, but with all the books getting thrown away by people, I thought it would be a good idea to use them as material. So, I decided to turn these books from something (no longer) useful to something decorative.
The Phoenix Butterfly Book is the best illustration of this process because I burned the pages of the book and it revived from its ashes just like the Phoenix. Also, the butterfly is itself the result of a transformation.
